Charlotte and Alan both love the outdoors, so we traveled to the amazing Lake Louisa State Park to shoot their engagement portraits. It's such a gorgeous park with a beach, rolling grassy hills, and plenty of trails to hike through.

They were troopers by traipsing through the tall grass loaded with sandspurs and narrowly avoided huge spider webs.

I'm really looking forward to shooting their wedding in January. Charlotte has the most gorgeous eyes and beautiful hair that she is going to be a stunning bride!

My good friend DeeDee and her new husband Jon had a big family reception when they got home from their wedding. They had a nice private ceremony in Costa Rica and then came home to celebrate in style. They had a tin drum player, plenty of island style food and drink and lots of friends and family to help them celebrate.

I had the lucky challenge of photographing all of the family members and then getting one big group shot! It was so much fun trying to fit everyone in creatively and make sure everyone was seen in the portrait.

So I've been really busy populating my new Web site and shooting some portrait sessions so I'm a little behind in posting. But I wanted to share these gorgeous maternity portraits from about a month ago. Noel is in my Mommies group and is expecting her second child. They have a gorgeous little girl already with a bright personality! I can't wait to take portraits of the new little one when he or she arrives (it's a secret).

I've been busy redesigning my new logo, blog and Web site, so I haven't posted some recent portrait sessions. I've really been holding onto them so that I could post them on this awesome new blog!

These little cuties are from a recent Portrait Party that I had with my Mommies group. It's total mayhem and total fun hosting a Portrait Party at my home. We have a great time chasing the babies around and watching them play together and we all get to have adult conversations with some good food. (Although I really love being a silly kid too,)
